A recent customer-driven innovation has involved widening our weighing services to offer calibrations on torque, pressure, temperature, force and electrical equipment. Calibration Select now provides a ‘one-stop-shop’ for our customers, allowing us to service all their metrology equipment needs while they benefit from a trusted, single-source supplier.
One of our 150 nationally trained technicians provides service and support on customer sites or in our Birmingham-based laboratory and calibrations are traceable to both UKAS and national standards. Our guaranteed 5-day turnaround on lab calibrations ensures maximum equipment uptime and certificates will be available within just four hours of calibration.
Equipment calibrations play a critical role in the quality process of UK manufacturers and although a small part of the overall process, it can be costly if overlooked, thanks to the penalties involved in missing calibrations. Manufacturers can easily have hundreds of pieces of equipment on-site requiring calibrations and it can be a struggle to keep on top of all the deadlines, documentation and suppliers involved in the process.
To address this issue, a core feature of our new service is our Calibration Hub. Our online portal increases customer efficiency and ensures compliance and traceability on metrology equipment by storing asset history, including all the associated manuals, certificates and inspection reports, under a single asset ID.
